You made it through the morning, but now your cell phone is already losing it’s charge. You are travelling today and you really don’t have the time to stop and find an outlet so you can charge your phone. Why does this keep happening?
The first thing you need to know is this. Even if you have stopped playing a game, or using an app, unless you shut them down, they will continue to run in the background. Whether you are using that app or not, it’s taking up valuable battery charge. So remember to check regularly to see what apps are running, and manually shut them down. Or you can download apps that will shut down all your background apps at your request.
If you love playing games on your cell, you need to stop. Especially on days when you are going to need to keep your phone charged for longer periods of time, I know it’s tempting to play those games while you sit in an airport waiting for your flight or your connection, but it’s not a good idea. Here’s something you can do, Read instead!!
When you battery is getting low and you still have a way to go, don’t shut your phone off in order to try and keep what little battery life is left. Instead, put the phone on Airplane Mode. That way the power up and power down process your phone goes through when you shut it down, won’t happen, and you will have a little more time on your battery.
There are some other small things you can do too, like turn down the brightness on your screen. But the most energy using things on your cell phone are the apps and he games. So keep those to a minimum. And remember too, when you charge your phone, once its fully charged, unplug it from the charger.
