It will depend. If you want something easy to carry, with a long battery life, and you don’t need to add any extra devices, then concensus seems to be Ipads or Ipad mini. There are those amongst us who will always want to stick with Apple Products and that is their right. Apple has been the leader in the tablet market for a long time now. They have great screen resolution a decent battery life and a ton of apps.
I have friends who are Android devotees. What they like is the fact that Android devices come in different sizes, you can customize your home screen on Android devices, and you have outside ports you can use to add memory.
If you need a tablet which will act as a work device, and not one that’s used primarily for games, reading and watching videos, than you will probably want one that’s larger in size and has more memory. On the other hand, if you simply want one that you can carry around easily, still has a decent screen resolution, and will allow you to read you best sellers, Android Tablets come with a much lower price tag than Apple Ipads.
Some of the cell phone carriers are even offering certain Android tablets for free, with a $10 per month charge for their wireless access. If you have children and you want something to keep them busy while you travel, that could be your best deal.
